Busted! New helicopter crack down on local shoulder riders

CHICAGO (WGN) – There’s an eye in the sky being used to crack down on a common complaint: Drivers who dodge traffic by using the shoulder of a highway.

“There’s virtually nothing we haven’t heard,” said Cook County Sheriff’s officer Kevin Suchocki after curbing a car that was first spotted thanks to an airborne assist.

The driver claimed he had an urgent need to use the bathroom.
