Renovated building-turned-business hub opens in Ingleside

When Ryne Austin first bought the old Ingleside train station hotel along West Main Street a little more than two years ago, he thought it might turn into a quaint business with one tenant. Fast forward, however, and the building is now home to what he hopes will become a bustling new business hub.

On Nov. 5, Austin was present with Ingleside community members for the grand opening of The Austin, a renovated building at 2761 W. Main St. in Ingleside. Once home to the original train station hotel in Ingleside, The Austin is now home to seven new businesses and business owners.

And Austin said the payoff of seeing the shops now open – complete with dozens of community members filing in during the grand opening – was an immense sigh of relief. It also gave him a sense of fulfillment, he said, and gratitude to the community and the tenants who now call it home…
