Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is one of 40 airports across the U.S. that will have its flight capacity reduced by the Federal Aviation Administration due to the federal government shutdown.
FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the restrictions will go into effect Friday morning, and when full implemented will result in a 10% reduction in capacity.
This is expected to have an impact on thousands of flights across the country.
The reduction will initially start at 4% on Friday, before incrementally rising to 10%. Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport are also included in the reduction list, which was obtained by ABC News…
