SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield City Council has approved a rezoning plan on the city’s east side that will pave the way for new affordable housing.
The rezoning will allow for the development of 510 housing units, including duplexes and multi-story apartments. The plan was remanded earlier this year to address concerns from nearby residents.
