Teen charged in fatal Albuquerque shooting will stay in custody

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A teen charged in connection with a fatal robbery in September will stay in custody. According to the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, the teen, along with several other teens, is accused of planning to rob 17-year-old Angelo Tafoya at an apartment complex on Tramway Boulevard. The teens planned to take Tafoya’s phone, gun, and drugs. Things escalated, and Tafoya was shot and killed. The DA’s Office said the group was in a stolen vehicle as well.

The teen is facing a murder charge and is next scheduled for a hearing on November 24.
