Man sentenced for threatening teenager
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man has been sentenced for threatening and attacking a 14-year-old boy who was riding a bike in his neighborhood in January.
Jason Harrell agreed to plead guilty-as-charged. Harrell pleaded guilty to two counts of intimidation (level 6 felonies), two counts of battery, and one count of intimidation as misdemeanors. The sentence was completely open to the court.
Prosecutors pursued multiple sentencing aggravators, including the hate crime aggravator for statements made by Harrell during the incident. The state sought a four-year executed sentenced with three years in the Indiana Department of Correction and one year of probation…
