Thomas J. Hackman, 65, pleaded guilty on Oct. 27 to aggravated assault, three counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges stem from a March 24 incident in the 1000 block of Ridge Road, when three Northwest Regional Police officers encountered Hackman during an unrelated call.
Prosecutors said Hackman threatened, punched, scratched, spit on, and verbally abused the officers, leaving them with cuts, abrasions, and swelling. Even after being arrested, he continued to spit at and threaten police — at one point trying to kick out a patrol car’s rear windows…
