LOS ANGELES (November 6, 2025) – As Veterans’ Day approaches, Food for Health – a free, nutritious fresh food distribution program created by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and Housing IS A Human Right, the housing advocacy arm of AHF, are hosting a press conference Friday morning (11/7 @ 08:00) in front of the Ronald Reagan State Office Building to call on California Governor Gavin Newsom to backfill funding for SNAP benefits that ceased on November 1st. SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is known as CalFresh in California.
