Frost Advisory Issued for Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York Tonight as Temperatures Dip Near Freezing

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — The National Weather Service (NWS) in New York has issued a Frost Advisory covering southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York, effective from midnight tonight through 7 a.m. Friday.

Forecasters say overnight temperatures will fall to around 33°F, allowing frost to form in outlying suburbs, coastal towns, and low-lying inland areas across the tri-state region.

“Unprotected outdoor vegetation may be damaged or killed if not covered,” the NWS warned. “Residents should take precautions to protect plants and sensitive outdoor items.”
