Make your own earrings at Hello Myrrh, St. Pete’s new DIY earring shop

For Murlene Joseph, jewelry has always been an expression of self, story, and style. After five years of selling at markets and online, Joseph officially opened the doors to Hello Myrrh, her first brick-and-mortar shop, on September 19th. The new space marks a proud milestone for the local artist and business owner, who has built her brand around creativity, community, and hands-on connection.

“I’ve been doing markets and selling online since 2020,” Joseph said. “I still plan to do markets, but I’m really proud of having a brick-and-mortar space now. It’s a dream to finally have a place where people can come in and make something beautiful.”

A DIY earring bar for everyone

At the heart of Hello Myrrh is its DIY earring bar, where visitors can design and assemble their own jewelry from start to finish, no experience required.

“People come in, get their tray, and start by deciding on the length,” Joseph explained. “Then they pick the pieces they’re attracted to and put them all together. It’s very beginner-friendly; you don’t have to have any prior knowledge. I like to let people attempt it themselves with some instruction along the way.”…
