On Monday, November 3, a 15-year-old 9th-grade student at Leon High School in Tallahassee was involved in a physical altercation following a verbal dispute.
The student reportedly believed another student had called him a derogatory name and struck that student multiple times. When a school staff member attempted to intervene, the student also struck the staff member.
The student was arrested and charged with Battery and Battery on a School Official. He was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center and will face school disciplinary actions under the Leon County Schools Student Code of Conduct…
