Jackson, MS – The National Weather Service in Jackson is warning residents of isolated strong to severe thunderstorms expected Friday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves across Mississippi. Forecasters say the main hazards include damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph and hail as large as quarters.
According to the National Weather Service, the severe threat will primarily impact central and southern Mississippi, including areas such as Jackson, Vicksburg, and Brookhaven.
