Arkansas native Jeff Nichols’ new film ‘King Snake’ brings southern gothic horror to Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A new film by Arkansas native film director and screenwriter, Jeff Nichols, is soon to hit the big screen.

The new movie, King Snake, stars Margaret Qualley, Drew Starkey and Michael Shannon. In the film, a couple inherits a farm in Arkansas where they are then faced with real-world problems and supernatural forces, battling physical and metaphysical demons while they are forced to confront the property’s dark legacy.

Throughout the film, forces of good and evil collide in a terrifying way where real-world challenges crash into otherworldly creatures and myths…
