New Orleans Police Arrest Suspect Brandon Joseph for Second Degree Murder on Bienville Street

The streets of New Orleans have witnessed countless tales, but it’s the recent arrest for a murder on Bienville Street that has now taken center stage. On October 9, at about 8:37 p.m., a crime shook the 1000 block, and the New Orleans Police Department has been on the heels of the perpetrator ever since. The suspect, Brandon Joseph, a Black male born on July 20, 2004, became the focus of an intense investigation.

According to NOPD News, investigators gathered witness accounts and evidence that led to a warrant for Joseph’s arrest in connection with a homicide. Joseph was already in the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office for unrelated reasons and was re-booked on Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder.

The New Orleans Police Department credited a chain of collaborations with entities like the Louisiana State Police, VCAIT, Troop Nola, and various NOPD divisions such as the 8th District, Traffic Division, Special Operations Division, Tactical Squad 2, and even Juvenile Probation and Parole.
