Doctors, physicians’ assistants, and nurse practitioners at Allina clinics across the Twin Cities metro area held a one-day strike Wednesday to pressure the multistate health system into giving them a contract.
Allina Doctors Council-SEIU — comprising over 600 members in what the union says is the nation’s largest private-sector health care provider union — announced the unfair labor practice strike two weeks ago.
