Greeley PD Arrests Seven in Operation to “Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement”

Seven arrests were made in Greeley on the evening of November 3 as part of a BATTLE (Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement) Operation. This started when Greeley Police officers pulled over a Toyota Highlander in the 2200 block of 10th Avenue driven by Rigel Fuller, who is on parole for aggravated robbery, and Savannah Vasquez in the passenger seat. Vasquez had four active warrants. The vehicle fled from the scene of the traffic stop.

Officers tracked the vehicle to a residence in the 2000 block of 23rd Avenue. Three individuals were observed exiting the vehicle and entering the residence. Officers secured the perimeter and obtained search and arrest warrants after the individuals failed to comply with officer orders. Nearby residents were alerted via Reverse 911 to shelter in place at approximately 4:20 p.m.

12 individuals exited the residence over the next several hours, according to the Greeley Police Department (GPD) press release. Fuller and Vasquez refused to surrender and the SWAT team deployed chemical munitions. Upon entering the home, the two suspects were located in the basement crawlspace and were treated for chemical exposure. They were booked into the Weld County Jail that evening…
