Downtown Las Vegas leads in homicides for 2025, reports 14 deaths, police data shows

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The downtown area in Las Vegas has recorded the most people killed so far this year, according to data from the Metropolitan Police Department.

LVMPD releases weekly statistics that range in a variety of categories across 10 area commands. They are geographically defined sections that can cover multiple ZIP codes. Due to some ZIP codes overlapping across those boundaries, crime rates can vary from the specific ZIP code to the overall zone officers protect and serve.
