Michael Hess, the volunteer who was helping to maintain the Sparks Marina Veterans Memorial has been has passed away this evening from complications resulting from the violent attack on November 3, according to officials with the memorial.
First responders attended to his injuries and transported him to a medical facility on Monday afternoon. Hess succumbed to injuries on November 6.
