Traffic Stop in Spokane Valley Leads to Felony Arrests and DUI Charge

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA — A Spokane Valley Deputy’s alert observation during a routine patrol led to the arrest of two individuals with active felony warrants and a driver suspected of impairment.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., the deputy spotted a silver Chrysler 200 on Pines Road, which resembled a vehicle that had fled from deputies the night prior. After running the vehicle’s license plate, he confirmed that the registered owner, 32-year-old Cody T. Spolar, had an active felony warrant from the Washington State Department of Corrections for escape from community custody related to a second-degree assault charge.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot near Pines Road and Mansfield Avenue. Four adults were inside the vehicle. Spolar was confirmed to be among them and was arrested on the DOC warrant…
