Halong evacuees to take part in subsistence hunt to secure food supply

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Alaska Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) is organizing a special hunt to help Alaska Native evacuees displaced by former Typhoon Halong.

The event will take six Alaska Native hunters to Prince William sound, where, “we’re going to hopefully get up to 30 deer between 6 hunters that were chosen by one of the Kipnuk liaisons,” said Kyle Tripp, director of the Alaska Chapter of Safari Club International.
