Two stabbing incidents reported at South Carolina jail

SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred within a week at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.

The first incident happened on Nov. 3, when deputies said one inmate stabbed another in the upper body with a sharp object. The victim was treated at the jail and returned to his unit.

The second stabbing occurred on Nov. 5. Deputies reported an altercation between two suspects and a victim, who are reportedly known to each other outside the jail…
