Illinois woman gets ten years on meth dealing charges in Posey County

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An Illinois woman will spend the next decade in prison after pleading guilty in Posey County.

According to the Posey County Prosecutor’s Office, Kelli Hale was sentenced on meth dealing charges. Officials state she was originally pulled over in March for failing to use a turn signal. Officials state officers saw Hale had slurred speech and poor dexterity.

Further investigation revealed Hale had a smoking pipe in her bra. As a result, a search of Hale’s vehicle revealed more than 35 grams of meth under the driver’s seat.

“Ms. Hale made the decision to bring a large quantity of methamphetamine into Posey County, and I’m grateful she has been held accountable,” stated Posey County Prosecutor Thomas Clowers. “Thanks to the proactive work of law enforcement, a simple late-night traffic stop resulted in the removal of a large amount of drugs and a drug dealer from our community.”…
