Woman threatens to blow up Jail East: SCSO

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 23-year-old woman is locked up after allegedly threatening to blow up Jail East.

Kelvionia Townsend is charged with threatening to commit an act of mass violence, false reporting and harassment.

The sheriff’s office said Townsend is related to an individual currently locked up at Jail East on domestic violence charges.

At 11:34 p.m. Oct. 30, the sheriff’s office says Townsend contacted the release office at Jail East for Women and threatened to blow up the facility if inmate releases did not begin by midnight…
