DINGMANS FERRY, PIKE COUNTY(WBRE/WYOU) — Two people have been charged after police say they were caught selling various drugs in Pike County.
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the arrest of 45-year-old Raashid Nicholson and 32-year-old Monica Mombrun, both of Philadelphia, after the investigation into methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking in Dingmans Ferry.
After a two-month-long investigation, the two were arrested when they arrived in Dingmans Ferry to deliver several drugs. According to police, detectives conducted controlled purchases of methamphetamine, cocaine, and pills marked as Xanax from Nicholson in a vehicle that Mombrun was in and owned.

When investigators went to arrest them, Nicholson tried to flee by driving away, but drove into a tree. He then ran while tossing a bag containing drugs into a wooded area, officers noted.
