Samaritan Center expansion to help people find resources

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Samaritan Center serves thousands of meals every year, but this year, they’re on track to serve much more than normal.

“We’ve been running about 9% over year to year in terms of numbers. So, we’re on track to serve about 130,000 meals this year,” Executive Director Mary Beth Frey said.

Those estimations were before SNAP Benefit cuts happened. Now, a week into people not having November benefits, the Samaritan Center has already seen an increase in guests…
