It’s funny to me with what people will try to get away with nowadays. Lying is no big deal. It’s just part of that new normal. There are people I know who treat lying like it is their normal vocabulary. It doesn’t matter how crazy the lie is; people think they can get away with it.

Something that takes lying to the next level is not telling the truth to a police officer. That’s just going to get you into more trouble. In fact, a boldface lie is not going to go over with most people, so it’s best to just not do it.

This guy in Illinois got into an accident with his car. He left the scene of the crime and left the damaged vehicle there, too. He then called the police to report the car stolen. The local cops figured out the scam pretty quickly, and the guy was arrested.
