Haskell Public Schools cancels classes Friday due to threats; 1 suspect arrested

TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — Haskell Public Schools said on Thursday that classes are canceled for Friday due to threats made against the schools. The cancellation comes as a suspect has been identified and arrested by the Haskell Police Department in relation to the threats.

The Haskell PD said officers with Muscogee Nation Lighthorse arrested Evan Harjo, 18, on Thursday evening for making threats against the schools. Harjo allegedly was overheard on the phone with a juvenile female saying he was going to “shoot up the school.” The school was placed on lockdown on Tuesday until it was determined Harjo was not in the Haskell area.

On Thursday morning, Haskell schools contacted Haskell police again, saying that Harjo had once again made threats against the school Wednesday evening, and a lockdown was initiated on Thursday…
