El Güero Canelo opens new Southside location next to original site

El Güero Canelo has officially opened its newest location on Tucson’s Southside, marking a full-circle moment for the beloved restaurant chain. The new location sits next to the same spot where the original El Güero Canelo first opened more than 30 years ago.

“A lot of people dream about a new car, whatever, but I dreamed about this for years,” said Daniel Contreras, owner of El Güero Canelo.
