AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT)- Jennifer Pessolano was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly abusing a child at Sunshine Kids Corner daycare in Amsterdam. But, Pessolano’s lawyer says she would never hurt a child.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says they were contacted by the parent of a child who had returned home from the daycare with abrasions. After a lengthy investigation, sheriff’s deputies say Pessolano was charged with one count of assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
“There’s just no evidence of it whatsoever,” says Pessolano’s lawyer, Kevin O’Brien. “It started with CPS (child protective services) investigating it and they really just did a terrible job.”…
