COLUMBIA, S.C. — Thousands of South Carolinians who rely on SNAP benefits are still waiting for their November funds. The South Carolina Department of Social Services says it’s still working to process new federal guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The USDA said it would “complete the processes necessary” on Friday to ensure funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are available. A spokesperson SC DSS said the agency will issue a press release once benefits are ready to be distributed and will post updates on its website and social media pages.
