Veterans Day parades, construction to impact East Tennessee roads: What to know

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — From Veterans’ Day parades to construction projects, 6 News anchor Bo Williams is breaking down what people should expect before hitting the roads this weekend into next week.

In addition, Court Avenue between Commerce Street and Bruce Street in Sevierville will be closed to all traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 11 for a Veterans Day event being conducted by Sevier County Veterans Services.

As the Alcoa Highway relocation project continues. Concord Road will be closed at the intersection of Cusick Road for sanitary sewer infrastructure installation on Monday, Nov. 10. It will be closed until mid-January 2026. Drivers in the area are urged to use caution and plan for additional driving time when traveling in this area.

Driving track for sheriff’s office training may be built on Knox County-owned land

Several construction projects across East Tennessee will impact traffic. To help drivers be prepared, the Tennessee Department of Transportation has released its weekly construction report covering 24 East Tennessee counties between Nov. 7 and Nov. 12, 2025.

In addition to road work, AAA says gas prices remain relatively stable as November kicks off. In Tennessee, the average price is $2.606 as of Nov. 7.
