(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a robbery suspect was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 6 during a traffic stop for an expired license plate.
According to CSPD, on Thursday at around 10:30 p.m., police got a call about a robbery at a gas station in the 2700 block of West Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City. When police arrived, they learned the suspect had threatened the clerk and stolen merchandise before leaving in a car.
Just before 10:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a car traveling on South Nevada Avenue and East Brookside Street with license plate tags that had expired in 2024.
