‘Very unique’: Enclaves of multi-million homes sprout up in foothills north of Eagle

You don’t have to stray far from Willow Creek Road before the world goes quiet.

From the top of one of the more than a dozen ridges of what was once a ranch, you can catch views of Bogus Basin, birds of prey circling overhead, and views of hills beyond hills clear to Oregon. It’s nearly silent, with only the occasional sound of a plane passing overhead or the wind ruffling the sagebrush.

This could be a hill deep in Idaho’s miles of high desert wilderness, except for the downtown Boise skyline visible in the far distance…
