Mission Hospital submits correction plan to avoid ‘immediate jeopardy’ designation

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Mission Hospital and the Asheville Surgery Center have submitted a plan of correction to avoid the potential designation of “immediate jeopardy,” federal health officials confirmed.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services confirmed the submission via an email to News 13.

This comes just ahead of Nov. 9, which is the deadline by which Mission Hospital must correct its deficiencies to avoid termination of its Medicare and Medicaid funding…
