FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man involved in a shooting at the gentlemen’s club Showgirl I has been found guilty nearly a year after it occurred.
Friday, 28-year-old Breshawn Smith was found guilty by a jury for his role in the death of 26-year-old Marialuz Margarita Munoz in November of last year.
Two men arrested in connection to Showgirl I shooting
Smith was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, criminal recklessness and using a firearm in the commission of a crime. The jury found him guilty on all counts.
According to court documents, Smith was sitting in the passenger seat of a car driven by William Tolbert when they entered the club’s parking lot. Smith fired a rifle over 20 times into a crowd of people, killing Munoz and seriously injuring two others.
Smith faces over 100 years in prison if handed the maximum sentence. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 11 of this year…
