HARRISBURG, Pa (WHTM) — Strong winds this week caused lots of damage across the Midstate, especially at Harrisburg’s A Miracle Community — the place about 100 of Harrisburg’s homeless population calls home.
“That wind, a freak storm, I don’t know what they’re calling it, a hurricane or what, but it tore it up pretty good,” said Timothy White, director of operations with the nonprofit Amiracle4Sure. “Everyone was calling me and texting me from here, saying the sky was falling. I rushed over, but all I could do was scream with them.”
