Pigeon Forge in the running for best Christmas town

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Pigeon Forge is in the running for Newsweek magazine’s best Christmas town award. It’s a reader’s choice award, so the public is invited to toss votes Pigeon Forge’s way.

Readers can vote once per day, per category here. Voting is open until Nov. 18 at noon; reader votes will be considered by a panel of experts, who then put the list together with the magazine’s editors.

“Pigeon Forge’s nomination for Newsweek’s Best Christmas Town is proof positive that our small town in the Great Smoky Mountains delivers a big Christmastime experience for our visitors,” said Pigeon Forge Mayor Kevin McClure. “We’re grateful for the many folks who come to see us each year and help bring to life our annual Smoky Mountain Winterfest celebration.”…
