Blue Grass Airport flight cancellations reported amid government shutdown

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — While Blue Grass Airport was not among the Federal Aviation Administration’s list of 40 airports affected by a reduction in flights, the Lexington airport is seeing cancellations roll in.

According to FlightAware, the following flights have been canceled:

These cancellations come as the FAA announced it’s reducing flights at major airports starting Friday to maintain air safety amid the government shutdown. Air traffic controllers have been working without pay for more than a month.
