Arlington Police Make Arrest in Nearly Four-Year-Old Homicide Case

Arlington, TX – The Arlington Police Department announced the arrest of 39-year-old Jason Reyes in connection with the December 2021 murder of Alphonso Lewis Jr., who was fatally shot inside his southwest Arlington apartment.

On October 30, 2025, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force located Reyes in Fort Worth and took him into custody without incident, following a warrant obtained by APD Homicide Detectives for one count of Capital Murder. Reyes is currently being held at the Tarrant County Jail.

The original homicide occurred on December 10, 2021, at approximately 4:59 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 6300 block of Rivertrail Circle.
