GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – SNAP benefits are being paid out in Wisconsin as negotiations with the federal shutdown continue, but a local organization still wants to make sure everyone gets the food they need.
Rooted In, Inc. held an “Emergency Cooking for the Community” event at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday. The local non-profit gathered more than 200 pounds of food for those in need.
