(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The man killed in a crash on Sunday, Oct. 26, has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office as 21-year-old Richard Bayne Jr., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD said on Sunday at around 8:45 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and Cloud Dancer Drive west of North Powers Boulevard about a crash. When police arrived, they found the driver, later identified as Bayne Jr., dead.

CSPD’s investigation revealed that Bayne Jr.’s vehicle lost control, sideswiped a second vehicle, left the roadway, and hit a tree in the center median. The driver of the second vehicle did not report any injuries.
CSPD said this was the 48th traffic fatality in 2025. At the same time last year, there were 50 fatalities…
