Sunset Mesa Elementary students raise more than $30K for the American Heart Association

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Students at Sunset Mesa Elementary raised more than $30,000 for the American Heart Association. For the fifth year in a row, the students raised more money than any other school in the city. In fact, the school has raised more than $345,000 for the AHA.

For all their hard work, the kids got to douse their teacher in slime. ” I’m so proud of the students every year, they just blow me out of the water with how engaged they get, how excited they get, and they’re always saying Coach Fowler, Coach Fowler, I’ve raised this much money.
