Bellevue School Board Director Monica Webster to Step Down

Bellevue, WA — The Bellevue School District announces that Director Monica Webster, who represents District 4 on the Bellevue School Board, has stepped down from her role at the conclusion of the School Board meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Director Webster’s resignation is due to personal reasons.

Elected in November 2023, Director Webster contributed significant expertise to the Board, drawing on her extensive involvement with the district through various roles, including former President of the Parent Alliance for Black Scholars, member of the Equity Advisory and Advocacy Collaborative, the Family Engagement Committee, the Planning for the Future Community Audit Committee, and several other initiatives. She also served in multiple community-based organizations throughout the years, where she worked to advance health equity. Most recently, she facilitated a meaningful panel discussion with the BSD Community, entitled “Looking for the Helpers,” underscoring the importance of identifying resources and supports for youth in times of crisis.
