Virginia Institute of Autism breaks ground on construction of new school

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Construction officially kicked off this week at the Virginia Institute of Autism’s new Webb building, home of the future James C. Hormel Day School.

The expansion will include new classrooms, an all-abilities gym and outdoor space, and a multi-sensory arts and music room.

The Hormel School will double the size of VIA’s current school building space and will serve 80 students, a goal they have been chasing for quite some time…
