Mother and three children escape with minor injuries after SUV overturns on Union Avenue

A mother and her three children are safe after firefighters helped them escape an overturned SUV after a crash Saturday night.

Firefighters with the Chattanooga Fire Department were returning to their stations after a house fire response when the call came in and they re-routed to respond.

CFD tells us Blue Shift crews responded to the 2300 block of Union Avenue at S. Lyerly Street.

Firefighters had to break the windshield of the SUV so that family could get out of the vehicle, which was flipped over on its side, but took caution to make sure no family member was hurt by…..
