“We are heartbroken,” Robertson County EMS Director on fatal LifeFlight crash
ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Saturday afternoon, a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter crashed in Wilson County in the 7100 block of Cairo Bend Road. According to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, three crew members were on board at the time of the crash. One crew member lost their life in the accident and the other two were transported in critical condition. No patients were on board.
LifeFlight 1, based in Gallatin, is one of the air medical units that regularly serves Robertson County. Robertson County EMS Director Brent Dyer has worked closely with this crew for many years.
