COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Schools provided emergency food assistance to families Friday afternoon, distributing hundreds, if not thousands, of meals across five locations as federal SNAP benefits remain suspended due to the ongoing government shutdown.
The district held drive-through meal distribution events from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Linden-McKinley STEM Academy, West High School, South High School, Walnut Ridge High School and Columbus International High School.
