A man who carjacked a Rolls-Royce on Chicago’s Southwest Side while still on probation for a gun case won’t be riding in luxury anytime soon. A judge gave him a 10-year prison sentence Friday, but he’ll serve about half that with good behavior.
The high-end hijacking happened around 5:30 p.m. on June 27, 2024, in the 9100 block of South Hoyne Avenue in Beverly. A 54-year-old woman was sitting in her silver 2017 Rolls-Royce Wraith when a dark SUV pulled up and blocked her path, police said.
