Two arrested after major drug bust during traffic stop in Columbia County

DEKORRA, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people were arrested late Friday night after a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office K9 Deputy discovered a large quantity of drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 90/94/39 in the Town of Dekorra.

According to the sheriff’s office, the stop occurred around 10:40 p.m. on November 7 after a deputy pulled a vehicle over for an equipment violation. During the investigation, the deputy determined that the passenger had provided a false name and attempted to hide illegal narcotics in plain sight.

A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, fentanyl, LSD, Schedule II narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Both occupants were arrested and taken to the Columbia County Jail.

The driver was identified as 33-year-old Kaitlyn Goodell of Baraboo. She faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine greater than 50 grams, possession of Schedule II narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor bail jumping, and violation of probation…
