One dead, one airlifted to hospital following fiery head-on crash that shut down Interstate 84 for three hours

Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Saturday at approximately 2:12 p.m. on Interstate 84 near milepost 110 southeast of Mountain Home.

A white Ram dually pickup towing a travel trailer, driven by a 55-year-old male from Canton, Texas, was driving eastbound on Interstate 84. A tan 1995 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 29-year-old male from Garden City, Idaho, was driving westbound on Interstate 84.

The driver of the Ram departed from his lane into oncoming traffic which resulted in a head on collision. Both vehicles became fully engulfed from the collision…
